Profile on Russ Anderson

Russ Anderson's Dad was just like all the rest of us. He wanted his son to enjoy his life and have good things. That's why, at age 10, Russ got his first motorcycle, a YamahaYZ50 (pictured below). But what Russ's Dad didn't know at the time, is that he had begun what was to become a way of life for his young son. That was 28 years ago, and Russ still has that motorcycle, the one he first learned to ride on.

And Russ didn't stop there, he has had too many motorcycles over the past years to count. He has bought, traded and sold bikes his entire life. Every make model and variety imaginable and has even built his own chopper in the past.

He has instilled the love of riding into the hearts of his own children. They learned to ride on guess what? - the same Yamaha YZ50 that Russ learned on. The boys are now riding motorcross bikes.

Now days, Russ keeps his three favorites available. His 1987 Sportster XL has been a standard at the Anderson house since Day 1. It has been customized with ape hangers and additional chrome, but has never had to have major engine work done. As is the case with all of this bikes, it has been maintained regularly and is constantly cleaned and polished.

The 98 Harley Davidson Road King is Russ' favorite for road trips and the paint job is his pride and joy. It has been added to and improved upon over several years and is definitely a showpiece.

The newest addition is probably the most noticeable of the three. An '07 Big Dog, red and black, chopper. Just recently purchased during Biketoberfest at Carl's Speed Shop in Ormond Beach. The 117cc S&S engine is completely chromed out and this baby humms.

Russ Anderson is a motorcycle man.
